Sleeping Time

Sleeping. Like all babies, I sleep a lot during the day...but also during the night. Mama and Papa are the happiest about it (cause they can also sleep at night hi hi hi).

Since I started having my milk from the bottle I began sleeping longer hours at night. Since about a week ago my body rhythm got a little bit stable. I ask for milk now 5 times a day like how it should be instead of the 6 I used to have.

From 7pm I stay awake waiting for Papa to get home. When I get my last milk at 9pm, I still play a little bit with Mama and Papa and by 10pm Mama brings me upstairs and lully me to sleep.

From 10.30pm I have my eyes shut listening to the songs of the "muziek mobiel" from Celeste and I slowly drift to dreamland.

I wake Mama up at exactly 4am. Depends on when she wakes up...I get my first milk of the day. After 15 minutes...yeah, that quick...my 180 ml of deliciiiiiious milk is finished...time for 2 big burps and Im ready to get back to bed.

I get my next bottles as follows: 9am, 1pm, 5pm and then 9pm again. I also wake up at exactly 8.30am...I bit too early maybe for Mama and Papa...but they will get use to it :-)
Funny, I also sleep like an angel in the car or in my boogy. Somehow, I like the feeling of being lullied by the vibration the motor does and the movement of the wheels against the road!

As soon as the motor runs...I close my eyes and leave the awaken world.

Everytime we go out for a walk I also sleep :-) I dont know! I cant explain, movement makes me sleep...and Papa is happy about that.

Well, what more can I say, Im a good sleeper. Just a little music (TMF on tv is also good) or lully me back and forth and I'm down!

Okay guys, its sleeping time! GOOD NIGHT!!!

Thank you to all of YOU!!!

It was such a wonderful day with all of you! Nice to see friends that we have not seen for quite a while now, for colleagues to finally see Niels after hearing a lot about him and for family who welcome Niels with wide-open- arms.

And to those who were not able to come to the Babyborrel, visit us at home or in the hospital...Niels missed to meet you. We hope that you can meet him soon!

For all the gifts that Niels received...thank you so much! He will enjoy it all for sure!

For the "centjes" he received, it will surely be invested wisely :-)

For the cards we got, we thank you for all the wishes!

For the visits we had, in the hospital and at home, thank you!!!

For our family in Philippines who could not witness all these, we regret it but we promise to make it up to you when we get there! We will keep you all updated with pictures, videos and through our skype sessions!

Again, THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!

Home Photoshoot

With Oma and Opa last sunday
Oma and Opa were here last Sunday with us...they watched me throw my milk up...not a good thing to remember...ulk

Sitting with Opa Vic
Nice huh? A picture with Opa

Believe it or not
This pyjama I'm wearing is 30 years old...Papa used to wear this when he was still a baby...30 years ago...and it fits just fine

Burping with Oma
Yeah, Oma was helping me burp...since I'm still a tiny baby...I still need help in a simple thing like this. And Oma helps me without asking anything in return :-)

With Tante Mireille and Karolien
I got a visit from these 2 beautiful women :-) And I get to sit in their lap! Ha!

Trying on Vincent's gift
Mama tried how I look like sitting on this rocker-eater-chair from Vincent...sits good! Hope I can use it soon!

Im 1 month old! Hip hip hip Hoera!!!

Niels on 06 February, 1 month old

Hoera!!! Im one month old now. Time flies so fast, I still feel like I was just born....Mama always tells me that Im growing too fast for her...soon I will be going to the daycare...and then after a few years to nursery school...then start going out with friends...you see my mama's worries? I just turned 1 month and...she is already FREAKING OUT! Well, I will never really understand how she feels unless I have my own child...but that's still a loooooong time from now! I can't even walk yet!

It was early morning when I woke up for my first bottle of the day, at 4 o'clock in the morning, when Mama started greeting me Happy 1 month old...I (half awake) was trying to finish my bottle of milk as soon as possible so I can get back to bed...while my parents were singing ENTHUSIASTICALLY the happy birthday song!

Anyway, we celebrated my one month of existence today with Oma and Opa. We...I mean them...ate Brugeltaart and a cup of coffee...i had bottled milk :-)

Mama and Papa took some pictures, of course, to comemmorate this day that I turned 1 month. See for yourself.

Its such a nice feeling to be loved so much like this....I know they know I love them too.

Mama wrote on her journal today that I started smiling more often today than the other days. I also can follow better with my eyes now...hopefully can see clearer soon so I can see my parents better and all the other people around me. With better eyes I will also be able to finally see in the webcam my Lolo, Lola, Tito Danny and Ninang Geli.

During My Less Happy Moments...

Yes, I have those moments too. Like all other babies, I cry. Yes, I cry.
And well, I have valid excuses, here me out...

A Cry of Hunger
This is my cry of hunger and Mama just continues on taking my picture!

Cry of Wetness
This is my face when I'm wet...you know...pamper change... I pee quite often, every 15 minutes or so...and does the big message also quite regularly.

A Cry of Pain
I had tummy ache then. What can I do if I have cramps and gas?

A Cry...fake cry...BOREDOM
Yeah, I cry when Im bored. Hey! At least 17 hrs of sleep a day, lying on your bed the whole time...that activity gets boring sometimes you know!

Awkward position
This is not a cry, but was part of my cry. I had tummy ache...again...so Mama was trying to get me comfy...does it look comfy? You decide.

A long weekend with Papa

Friday, Saturday and Sunday...a long weekend with Papa. Such a wonderful weekend it was. I played with Papa for 3 days and 3 nights. Even if Papa's back hurt he loves it when I sit on his lap or sleep on his breast. I love it too!

And for the first time...Papa gave me my bottle of milk.

First I heard Mama and Papa talking in the kitchen. Afterwards I found out that Mama was teaching Papa how to make my milk :-)

Papa was very interested and very excited to give me milk for the first time...and we both did good :-) I was able to finish my milk in NO TIME (cause I was soooo hungry) and Papa also did good...he remembered all the things Mama taught him :-)

And since then Papa could not get enough of it...he wanted to be the one giving me my next bottle again...Mama loved it though...cause she can rest a little bit ;-)

I love this weekend...I hope to have more of weekends like this :-)
