The first week of school is over. I could still remember when we were so excited to see which class will Niels be on his 2de kleuterklas. And when we told him who will be his next juf, he wasnt really that enthousiastic...
But now, everytime we ask him, "Is het leuk bij Juf Marlies?" he could just shout out loud to the top of his voice "JA!!!!"
During the first day of school, we always make it a point that we are there for him. We all hopped on our bike and peddled to school that morning...with Niels in his own bike and Nina behind Nico....we excitedly biked to school while singing Mega Mindy. And when we arrived at the school parking lot (with me as a little bit stressed mom...suddenly forgot how to even lock my bike!...well only Mama's would understand my situation) parked our bik and entered the school gate...Niels looking around and Nina running straight to where all the kids are gathered...no doubt that she is also ready to go to school soon!
We looked for Niels' teacher...and found her immediately...we all gave Niels a kiss and a thumbs up for the day...and he happily joined the line of his class. And mama was happy ;-)
We 3 biked back home. And when it as about time to pick up Niels we were even 5 minutes late! How time flies! When we got there Niels asked..."Papa, hebben jullie geen parking kunnen vinden?" Tja, the bike parking was full! hehehe
