C-O-O-L!

At a certain period, children tend to imitate whatever their parents say or do. And I am certainly at this period of my life. Papa is my big hero, my best friend, my guru. I talk on the phone like him (walk-and-talk). I wear my tie like him. And I wear my cool shades like him! Although sometimes it doesn’t work and I get a little agitated when it doesn’t work the way it has to, but you will see that I try and try and try…watch this:

“De Mierheuvelstraat” Resort Special Opening

Yesterday was our pool washed and dried for stocking. But the last 3 days were the perfect days for a swim! Our resort was opened for everyone including Arthur and Celeste.

Tuesday
Since Celeste was still with Oma and Opa we invited her for a splash in our pool. I was like a crazy pig that haven’t seen mud for a looooong time. Splashing, jumping, gliding and a lot more splashing was my technique. Celeste was playing with the noodles and Arthur with the watering cup. A few times I fell into the water and chocked a bit with the water I accidentally slurped in but it didn’t stop me from splashing!

Too bad there were no pictures taken that day cause Oma, Opa and Mama’s hands were full from watching over 3 little naughty pigs in the pool!

Wednesday
Papa was home early…meaning swimming time is early as well! I plunged in with Papa. And suddenly Arthur showed up and of course he also went swimming with us! And like yesterday, we had so much fun!

Thursday
Last opening day. Our other member Arthur was not present today. But anyways, mama, papa and I still enjoyed the last day of our pool and probably one of the last warm day of the summer. I didn’t splash too much today cause I was playing COOL in the pool today wearing Papa’s sunglasses. I was sitting with my head just out the water while keeping my balance (and my sunglasses from falling). After a while I need to warm up. I took tours around the pool like about 20 times. Then it started to become chilly so we went out the water and took a warm shower upstairs.

Voila! 3 opening days for our pool and they were 3 special days. I enjoyed it a lot.

Diepenbeek Pinoy BBQ!

What bad weather we have today! Good I found consolation to this bad weather. Today we went to Diepenbeek. For the first time we had BBQ sponsored by Rosalia and Jo! By the way, Rosalia is a Filipina who Mama met during her Dutch classes in PCMT in Hasselt.

Armed with my bag full of grapes and strawberries, drink cup, my own spoon and fork, a slab, 2 pieces pamper, wet napkin and a few toys we attacked their home in Diepenbeek!

Arriving, Rosalia greeted us in her humble abode. Ermina and Vincent welcomed me inside and of course their parents were there too. Preggy Donna and Toby where also present. Vincent was playing with Kenny’s toy computer and it looks very very interesting. It was love at first sight! I waited like a snake for Vincent to leave his position…as soon as he left I jumped onto the chair and possessed the computer table!

While the parents were busy barbecuing, the children (including me) were busy playing all over the place. When it was time to eat, I ate my delicious HOT soup! Ermina just kept on laughing when I start to shake from eating a hot soup! And I kinda liked it so I repeat shaking even if my soup was as cold as as ice-water already! Hey, at least I entertained her.

Next on the menu was the bbq meat and the potato. Yum yum. I almost finished eating a big piece of toasted bread before I even started with my potato and meat. I was seating beside Vincent and once in a while, during my chewing intervals, I say hi to him…but he turns his head the other way, I don’t know why but I didn’t care much. I continued eating and said hi again after a few minutes hehehehe.

When eating time was done, we played with Kenny’s tractor, bike and car. I had the tractor and drove like a PRO! Papa and Mama can’t believe how good I can stir my wheels. "Splendid sense of direction" and "nano-second-reaction-time" are 2 things I’m a master of. With Pipo and Nijntje at home as my training gears, I’ve learned myself to drive fast in a small space with lots of obstacles and curves. Sharp turns are as natural to me as doing pipi (hihi).

Anyway, here is a picture of us with the mommies and the future mommy Donna:
