Today is Mama's Day...
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MAMAS!!!
Especially to the Mama's I know!

And of course Papa and I (but mostly Papa) want to surprise Mama with a biiiig nice flower for Mother's Day.  Yesterday when Mama was shopping, Papa and I (as soon as I woke up) went to the flower shop to buy a nice plant with loooots of flowers for Mama!  We got home, put the plant behind the garden house (tuinhuis) and hid it so Mama could not see it...cause she has to wait for Mother's Day of course.

Papa told me to say nothing to Mama about any plant or flower. 

When we got into the house, who was home as well? Mama!  We got home the same time...and you know what I told her as soon as I saw her? 

"Mama! Bloemen halen! Daar!!!" (Mama! 'we' got flowers! There!) while pointing at the garden house...

Ooops!!!! So Mama was laughing...and Papa...tja, he is not happy of course!  Ayayayay!  I ruined the surprise for tomorrow!  But I think Mama will not check it out and she will wait for today :-)  My Mama is "braaf" (good girl) you know.

So...to Mama and Papa, sorry to ruin the surprise but still I wish you mama a very happy mother's day!  And when I woke up of course I said "Leve Mama!!!"

Helping Opa...

You all know I love working outside! And helping Opa is one of my favorite!

Preparing the soil for the vegetables and potatoes: of course I can't let Opa work alone, he needs my help and fast!

Bokrijk Speeltuin (playground)

As the summer approaches the sun invites more and more people to go outside and enjoy the first sunshine of the year.  And that includes us!  Even Mama who is normally afraid to get tan and play under the heat of the sun was outside enjoying it!

Last weekend Papa had a great idea to go to Bokrijk and play at the humongous playground they have there....good for about...ALL THE CHILDREN IN THE WORLD!

Niels sandbox in the making

The weather man was finally right!  Today, as to what they said on weather news...its 21°C!  And that's what you can really call WARM!

Yesterday mama, papa and me of course hurriedly drove to dreamland to get my "zandbak"...15 mins before closing...we got there, ran inside and ordered the sand box, paid and went home....oh I mean play with the "glijbaan" slide first and then went home.  I was very disappointed though cause Papa told me we will buy sandbox but all we brought home were planks of wood!  and no sandbox nor sand!  I was crying the whole time on the way home!

But anyways, they explained to me that Papa will still have to fix the sandbox and then sand will be delivered on tuesday and then I can play!!!!!! YUPEEE!!! Afterwards everything was OK...I understand now.  First make and then play :-)

So, I want to show you that Papa was busy the whole day today fixing the sandbox and the hole for it..and now we just have to wait for the sand to arrive!
